You can try changing which channels the router is broadcasting on. that might help if its caused by interference.

Can I ask is there specific channels for each band that might work? Like a starting off point.
Also why did this just start happening now a year in. That’s what confuses me

try channels 1-6-11.
There's options to turn off the ssid broadcast that doesn't actually shut off the 2.4ghz band but just disables being able to "see" the 2.4ghz. You might have hit that.
