NETGEAR AC1900 model R7000 is messing up my PlayStation 5 Bluetooth. Help
Hey there everyone. So about two weeks ago I noticed my audio would drop or stutter from my controller. At first I assumed a poor cable. But then I went on to test 3 different headsets same result. I...

Well the problem cuts down to almost nothing or nothing all together when the router is off. What channel can I go to ask for the manufacture warranty if that is the route I decide?----Not sure what exactly you mean by "what channel can I go to ask"? are you asking to contact support? If so, to get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days.
Also do you have any personal experience on blocking Bluetooth signals from neighbors? I have turned off all Bluetooth in my entire apartment except the controller. This is driving me NUTS. ---You shouldn't need to block bluetooth. Its very short range. If you're living in an apartment, it really shouldn't penetrated to far. Did you try a different headset? Or a different controller to connect it to?
Thank you

Hey there.
Yes customer service channels. If it’s only free for the first 90 days how am I supposed to make a claim on a device that is still in its one year warranty? That’s what I mean by how do you get in contact with them. Without being asked to pay just to see if my product needs the replacement my warranty may guarantee. That simply doesn’t make any sense as my product is under warranty until end of October,
I have tried 3 different controllers. 4 different headsets(and wires) and even moved my PS5 to a different household. Worked beautifully.
My neighbors appear to have a WiFi extender. I think their 2.4 is what is affecting me. When they are gone from home it is perfect. At 3 AM it is perfect. But anytime they are home I get immediate interference and issues.
It is really hard to take and I’m nervous to talk with them but I may try with landlord help(in a civil way). Thanks plemans

If you're out of that 90 days window, they're going to ask you to power on the router and use it. If it works, they'll charge you for assistance since the hardware is working.

But anytime they are home I get immediate interference and issues. ----Seems to be pointing more at the interference on the 2.4ghz from your neighbor then if it works fine when their not home. Not interference from your router. Maybe you can ask them (politely) if they can change the channel on their router (it'll change the extenders 2.4ghz channel).

If you're nervous, just write a nice letter and stick it under a beer can (full, and not a crappy one). Just say you're getting interference on your headset and have noticed it only happens when their home using their wifi. Just say one of the potential causes is 2.4ghz interference and you'd love if they could help you troubleshoot a little just by changing the 2.4ghz channel their on to see if it'll help. Maybe they're gamers too. Most people are willing to help but don't know much about it say you could also put that you're willing to help them change the channel if they don't know how. I've found going directly to someone first tends to be better reciprocated than going through a landlord and even if they don't drink, they might appreciate the sentiment behind leaving them a cold beer.

That’s actually in my first post. My original post says “But then I went on to test 3 different headsets same result. I took my ps5 to another residence and had no issues.” It was actually 4 headsets but yeah unfortunately it wasn’t my headset. That’d be a simple fix lol. And I ain’t that lucky.
And no I’m not trying to be smart with ya because I know you’re volunteering at the end of the day and I appreciate it. Funny you mention the letter. My therapist actually asked that the other day id maybe that would be a good way to reach out.The thing is my neighbors are unfortunately on bad terms with the people below them and… they aren’t very approachable because they are tired of people complaining. If I go the LL route it will only be to tell them I DONT want confrontation or saying “it’s all your fault and I hate you”. Lol. And it’s a girl with 2 kids. Not trying to stereotype but I think she’d view it as creepy. She already avoids my gaze everytime I see her but that’s a different story lol.
But ever since I turned off 2.4G I had a great gaming experience yesterday. And they were home last night… so it makes me wonder about my nighthawk man. This is actually the third one I have because the first 2 just kinda stopped working. I returned those to the store. Same with my parents.
Wonderful product when it works but I’ve found getting a lemon isn’t all that uncommon with the Netgear routers unfortunately. That’s why I asked about warranty claim. I’ll definitely keep you updated and see how it is today which will be the second day 2.4G is 100% off. Because yesterday was the first time in a month I had a whole day or perfect gaming.
I hope you have a good day Plemmons. It’s almost Friday lol
