Netgear CM1000V2 Lan Port not recognizing router

   "recognize" is a bit vague.  When you connect some device to it
(using a known-good cable), does the Ethernet LED on the CM1000v2
indicate a good Ethernet physical link?  Does that connected device
indicate (LED, software, ...) a good Ethernet physical link?  If so,
then does that device get a proper IP address (et c.) from your ISP?

   Sounds like nonsense.  With only one device, it's tough to create a
conflict.

   Did you try the obvious stuff, like a settings reset, and the
"Troubleshooting" stuff in the User Manual?

   Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
the LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot".
