I am not sure if I'm in the right category. My question has nothing to do with Nighthawk WiFi Routes!!!
Let me try again in english. My question refers only to Netgear Gs324 and Gs324V2 Switches.
Question: Does the power consumption adapt to the link status (port has or has no LAN cable in it, LAN device pluged to port ist active or not active) and cable length?
Now, I now the Gs324V2 switch has a max. consumption of 12,1W and min. Consumption of 4,33W, but this doesn't reply to my question! (if all ports have a LAN cable in it, it might be at max. consumption. If all ports have no LAN cable in it, it might be at minimum consumption). But what if all ports have a LAN cable attached to an end devive (pc...) in it, but only 1 device ist used (activ)? Would we be in this case at nearly minimum consumption?

What do you mean by "completely shut down". If a computer is linked per LAN cable to that port, but NOT online, will it consume power?
(Our building will have 24 LAN sockets linked to the switch, but we will be using about 1 to max. 5 LAN sockets at a time (from different rooms). So I don't want all 24 ports to consume while waiting for somebody to use them!)
