Netgear modem/router won't connect with new Xfinity internet
I have a new Xfinity internet acccount and a new Netgear 1750 router/modem but I can't get the WiFi connection to work. I've unplugged and restarted it, reset it and talked for an hour with an Xfinity representative. The Netgear device does appear on my Xfinity account as a registered device, and the "Netgear39" appears on my WiFi network preferences (and it shows that it's connected). My MacBook Pro accepted the assigned password for the new device.
Still, no internet connection! Does anyone have any experience or advice on this? Thanks!

Does it have a model number?
Is it set up to get the Internet?
