Netgear nighthawk 5ghz wifi speed extremely slow
I pay for 200 mbs download speed with spectrum. Im connected to a spectrum modem which connects to my netgear router, from that router i connect an ethernet cable directly to my computer, this connection results with appropriate speeds. The problem is on my 5g wireless connection i get 20-30 mbs download but still get the 10 upload. I dont know if i do not have the optimal settings for my specific router or not but to me it seems like it is way to slow. I have tried several different channels and it has came back with the same results need help asap.

First thing that is needed is the model number of your router. Look on the label, it could start with an R.
What is the brand name and model number of the modem/gateway/ONT that is connected upstream of your router?
What is the firmware version number that is installed on your router? "The Latest" is of no value because it cannot be verified.
On the configuration of your router, do you have QoS, traffic meter, access control, or parental controls enabled?
What application are you using to test the throughput? Recommend the Ookla native application for your operating system. It is available in the play store.
What client device are you connecting to the Wi-Fi to test the throughput?
