Netgear Nighthawk dropping 5G wifi connection - Fixed when restarted

Hi

I was just wondering whether anyone else has experienced similar issues.

I have my 5Ghz wifi connection connected to my desktop and recently noticed that it sometimes drops out. The 2.4ghz is still up (although high ping).

After i restart the router, everything is fine and the wifi is working perfectly.

Is this a common issue and if so, how can I fix?

    1. what router do you have? 

    2. what firmware is on it? 

    3. When it "drops", what actually happens? Does the ssid stop broadcasting? Does it broadcast but when connected say "connected, no internet"? What actually happens?
    4. Do all devices drop? Or just the one desktop?

    Not much to go on. 

    How about a router model number that your referring too?
