Please try changing the MTU size of the router.

To clarify I lose internet access, it will look normal until I try to surf then my computer's will register something is wrong and I hardlined one computer and although it doesnt happen as often it still happens I will try to restore to factory defaults but I'm not sure why that would be the problem since it's been working fine up to a couple months ago.

Bypass the router. Connect a computer directly to the modem and make sure the connection is stable. If not, contact ISP.
