    1. what modem/gateway do you have?

    2. what firmware is on the router?

    3. when they disconnect, what actually happens? Do they say "connected, no internet" , do they disconnect from the wifi entirely, does the wireless stop broadcasting, do all devices drop? what actually happens?

An interesting question, what would you like someone to do for you?

I apologise in advance because this may well come across as unhelpful but may I suggest:

    1. Read the manual that came with your router or download it from the Netgear site.

    2. Use the excellent search function on this community pertaining to your particular model of router and read through the numerous threads which will undoubtedly answer your question. Failing that, Google it and I'm guessing you'll find the answers you're looking for.

No one here knows your set up or who your ISP is or what devices you have connected to your router or even your environmental conditions.

    Good luck.
