I'VE PURCHASED A NEW ORBI ROUTER AND WANT TO SELL MY OLD NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK R7000. TRYING TO FIND OUT THE AGE OF THE OLD UNIT.
SERIAL NUMBER 44275B7HA0D0A.

Nighthawk R7000 became available in October 2013. So, it must be less than 10 years old. There is an internet report stating that Netgear recertified the R7000 in 2018, using the original Broadcom chips, but perhaps with minor modifications to make it less costly to manufacture:

Netgear probably has a database showing when every serial number was produced, but I am not aware of any consumer access.
If you had registered the R7000 with Netgear when it was purchased, there might be an entry in your Netgear account.
I kept my old R7000 and use it for experiments. For example, in the (very) rare situation where a device does not want to connect to my Orbi WiFi because the smartphone app is poorly written, I can drag out the R7000, set it up with only the 2.4G band, totally disable the 5G band, get the device connected. Then, after the R7000 is back in the box, that device will connect automatically to the Orbi because it 'knows' the correct SSID/password.
I also use the R7000 for random experiments, such as deliberately setting up a "Double NAT" to see what happens.

Maybe people in the appropriate section could compare serial numbers:
As the title says, this place is for Orbi.
