Netgear Nighthawk R7000P issues
Hi,
I have a Nighthawk R7000P and it's been causing so many issues. I have internet coming in from my ISP into their own ONT, and then from there, it's going into my Nighthawk and going to the rest of the house. The WLAN of the ONT is disabled to reduce interference.
My Nighthawk is an absolute nightmare to use. Sometimes the internet cuts out, the app is laggy and as of now I can't log in, I've reset the router several times and it doesn't do anything. For quite some time, I just started using my ISPs ONT router directly because I would get much faster speeds on that. For example, upstairs in my house, I would get around 30-40 Mbps out of a 50 Mbps connection on my ISPs ONT, and around 15-25 Mbps from my Nighthawk.
I've just spent nearly two hours re-doing my internet setup and settings, and there is no difference. This setup used to work perfectly but I do not know what happened. The router also refuses to update automatically. There are updates available online but the Nighthawk app and the routers admin page say there are no updates available.
Can someone help me with this? I've had the device for a few years and have been facing issues for most of the duration of having it.
I am also facing this issue where some of my devices cannot connect with smart connect enabled. If I disable that, said device connects successfully, but some other device refuses to connect.
