Netgear Nighthawk R8000 X6 AC3200 slow FTTP speed
Hi all,
The Router is just over 3 months old and worked flawlessly with my old FTTC connection.
We have just upgraded to the FTTC 900 connection and the Netgear router seems to have capped speeds at 300-350
The ISP supplied cheap router gets 750 can anyone explain why this is happening and suggest any potential solutions? Thanks in advance.

Make sure qos, traffic monitoring, access control, and parental controls are all disabled and reboot the router.
If they were ever enabled and the disable/reboot doesn't fix it, try a full factory reset and clean install (not from a backup).
Try that first.
- Topher_cugAspirantThank you for your reply - I have checked your suggested settings and they were not enabled. I performed a factory reset and checked the settings again unfortunately it is still displaying 300 - 350 mb speed which I cannot for the life of me understand. Any further suggestions would be greatfully accepted.
I cannot understand why a router that is the third of the cost of this Netgear router is performing full speed around 800mb.
