NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S Smart WiFi Router (R7800) - Reset Password
How do I reset my password. It asks me my 2 questions. I submit my answers. They say they are wrong. Note: I know when I graduated from high school and I know my Dad's middle name. Somehow the file is corrupt. What can I do?
Wire connect a PC to the router and factory reset the router using the back push pin button. Hold it in for 10 seconds then let go. Then log in to 192.168.1.1 using a web browser and walk thru the setup wizard. This time write down all important information for safe keeping later on.

Problem with password recovery is that even if you didn't set it up, it still asks the questions but there isn't a correct answer.
so in those situations where either it wasn't setup or you dont' have the correct answers, then you'd need to follow FURRYe38 advice and factory reset to get back in.

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
