It works for many but don't use the wps method of setup. Use the installation assistant. 

What actual router from them do you have.

Hi Thnks for the quick response. I have the Smart Home Hub the one BT just sent me? Does that help?

    Not really. there should be a model number on the label.

      It says BT Hub6-27FW It also says Type A too?

        It *should* work. Just don't use WPS to set it up. 

        I say should because ISP supplied routers aren't known to be that great at playing well with others.
