It helps to think of things the right way round.
Your R6400 does not connect poorly to Apple devices. The Apple devices are supposed to connect to your R6400.

That other devices connect as expected is another clue. The router is not picking on your Apple stuff. It doesn't know what is trying to connect to the wifi.
Have you been through the usual "forget and rejoin" move. Tell you slow devices to forget that they ever encountered your router's wifi and then rejoin the network.
