I notice now when trying to access the routers settings it asks me for my user/pass, then seems to want me to create a NETGEAR Account.
Access how?
The best way in us with the browser graphical user interface (GUI) and a wired connection.
You can then skip the steps where the router tries to be "helpful". These things are designed for novices who need hand holding. But you can usually kick the "wizard" into touch. Just look carefully at the screens you see.

I apologize-I should've been cleared. I connected directly to the router (WiFi) by using a browser and navigating to its IP address (10.0.01)
It does the usual-prompt for user/pass. Then it loads some SSO script, checks for an internet connection & asks for a netgear account. I can take screenshot if neccessary.
But in short no I'm using a browser. No..I haven't-the administrator password? It's not the default but it's very simple. I'll look into that-thanks.
That would still require some communication from my router to netgear tho.
