Netgear R7000

I have the R7000 router with built-in ExpressVPN 

I am wanting to switch off the VPN to watch local contact 

I have tried 192.168.1.1 and routerlogin.net but it won't access the router 

Is this because the laptop is picking up the IP address in England 

I tried 192.168.1.1 with my old router not connected to a VPN and it works 

So how do I switch off my VPN in my Router?

Any suggestions
