In fact they both get very hot to the touch and I turn off the router to avoid damage. Is there any SFP+ adapter to ethernet that will work with this router. I have 2.5g internet (ethernet output) and I also plan to use wigig 802.11ad wireless connections. I am using "multi-gig" switches that have port aggregation that can be used with the 2 ports on the router if this is a possibility. otherwise I will just stay with wireless and 1g connections.
The main question is what 10Gb SFP+ adapter will work with this port? I would like to use 10G copper if possible.
Used this one from Ipolex for a couple of years without issue. Nothing noted from the standpoint of heat generation.

The connection was between a R9000 and the 2.5 Gbps port on a CM2050V using a Cat 6 STP cable. The R9000 has since been removed from service.
