Netgear RN10200 firmware update communication error

Question

I have an&nbsp;rn10200 its on firmware 6.10.5 hotfix 1 and im trying to update to the latest 6.10.6 but all i get is a communications error when i try and do a manual update.if i do an automattic update it fays its flashed then reboots or rather says its rebooting then switches off and when powered back on its on the original firmware 6.10.5 hotfix 1any ideas how i can fix this?

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the ReadyNAS products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with NAS products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Absolutely. But a sensible response would also have been to offer two other options:

Visit the support pages:Support | NETGEARFeed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message. I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
