Netgear Router Having Me Sign In Three Times Then Demanding Password Recovery

I Have a Netgear R6400 and every time I go to 192 168 1 1 to use it it has me sign in THREE times then goes to 192 168 1 1/MNU_access_setRecovery_index.htm and asks me for password recovery,

WHY does it do this??? It keeps wasting my time, also I'm using it for LAN only stuff, I don't have actual proper internet and have to use tethering from my phone.

    Probably because you network is something out of the ordinary.

    Not sure that I understand that. Are you saying that yo use tethering instead of a modem? Or that you have to use the phone to manage the router?

     

    Maybe the router has set its own IP address to avoid conflicts with the phone. Try to track down the IP address of the router's wifi access.
