NETGEAR Wi-Fi Range Extender EX6120

My EX610 Dual band WiFi range extender gets hot and drops the connection. Any suggestions. Got this one in June. Been doing it since the first week. I am Ready to buy a different one. Suggestions plea...

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the WiFi Extender products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with WiFi Extender products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please give host wifi router brand and model# information.

Also please give distances between host wifi router and extender. 

FW version used on the extender.
