If you want seamless WiFi roaming, then you can't avoid the Orbi. For everything else, considering your speeds, the router+modem combo is fine.

I moved on from Orbi to the MK Mesh routers recently, wipes the floor with Orbi.

    My 8 and 9 series Orbi work far better than the MKs IMO.

      I jumped several generations, from oldest Orbi to newest MK.

       

      If nothing else, the design of the Orbi is horrible in comparison.

        Hard to claim that since you haven't seen newer generation Orbi. HW is solid. Far better than the MK HW.
