Netgear wifirouter R7900P is not blocking
Very concerned. I've added googleusercontenet.net in the block site, fire wireshark and it still goes there. Doesn't show as blocked. What gives?

is it an HTTPS site?
If so, blocking won't work as its encrypted

Not sure what you mean. I am not asking to block content, i am looking to block destinations. In the security options, clearly states "blocking sites containing key words or domain". that is url=domain. I don't care about encrypted communication and fully aware it is ssl encrypted. But i do care if googleusercontent is stealing information and for that reason alone, i should be able to block destinations.

I believe what is meant is that the blocking feature of the router don't block any connections to remote sites that use HTTPS as there entry into there pages. The router can only block HTTP sites.
I belive of you want more blocking of HTTPS sites, you'll need to look into DNS services like OpenDNS that I believe can support blocking of connections to sites that use HTTPS.

I bought this netgear because a similar document found. Still not sure what you mean. According to this document, youtube is an https site and it is clearly listed there with no mentioning it cannot block anything other then http sites.
