A good source. IP camera security is a major topic on the IP Cam Talk forum here: https://www.ipcamtalk.com/forums/ .

i can go there because they banned me because i did not agree with the moderators, they tried to tell me the cameras i had were not any good but if i got the cameras they sold then they would help me with the porting issue i was havong, so then they banned me. believe it or not they told me if i went back on there site they would sue me for using there bandwidth. but they cant sue anyonde for being on there site as they are publlic. i had to do some business with a top lawyer in our area and he wanted me to go back and have then open a case against me so he could make tons of money.
anyway thanks

Sorry to hear that. More than one person has found themselves crosswise with one or more moderators over at IP Cam Talk.
A next resource would be over at Small Net Builders Forums. https://www.snbforums.com/ . Maybe in the LAN & WAN section.
Good luck.

thanks does netgears r7000 ac2300 have any type of security? i see other router brands that have firewalls and some type of security that is free built into the devices and for life with updates often? my c7000 never gets any security updates and has got 1 firmware update, just after that update the attacks on my device were almost nothing and then about a month after that firmware update the attacks started agian, now i get so many i have to turn it off often to clear out the logs just to have decient wifi. and i see lots of neg feedback on amazon for that model also. that is one reason i'm looking at turning off the wifi on the c7000 unit and installing a seperate router so i can get security updates more often. i get dos attacks at a rate so fast that i see pages of them everday. just today i again pulled the plug 30 minutes ago and i have 4 pages of dos attacks. i have the ip address set to get ip address from isp maybe i need to set it to static? the wan page has all boxes unchecked. but this unit seems to have limited setting from what i have learned router have. unless i'm reading them wrong. thanks.
