Network path for Readyshare printer on R8000?

I'm running a Samsung ML-1630 laser printer via the USB 2.0 port on an R8000 router. It prints just fine so no issues there.

 

I want to be able to connect to the printer via the Samsung driver software in order to check the printer's toner level. The Samsung software search function does not see the printer. It gives the option of "seeing" the printer via IP address or network path. Since the router does not assign the printer an IP address I need a network path in order for the Samsung software to see the printer.

    When I have it right, the USB printer is connected as a "remote" shared USB device. Any software by Samsung/HP can be used concurrently to query the printer status.
