If you bought the R6260 listed in your footer for that, then it probably wasn't the best choice. That is a router – and a pretty basic one at that. It can need some messing about with if you want to add it to another router, if that is what you have already.
To achieve what you want, you probably need to use the use the R6260 in wireless access point mode. That means plugging the R6260 into whatever router you own.
An alternative is to use the R6260 as a "WiFi Bridge".
