I have tried upgrading once again Factory reset, pushed firmware, and again my 5Ghz went down. Reverted back to the trusted 1.09.42 and everything works just fine. Figured I would try again, and once again after the router rebooted etc, my 5Ghz was shot again no matter what channel I used. Reverted back again to 1.09.42 and everything worked just fine. I guess God just doesn't want me to go to a newer firmware lol

IF this is happening on different FW versions then there seems to be a HW issue rather then FW. I did not see any issues with my R7000 when I had it online using this version of FW. Ran fine for me and no 5Ghz issues. Maybe time for new HW or turn OFF the wifi radios on the R7000 and add on a wireless AP for wifi.

And I have little to no problems on firmware prior to 9.42. Check out the problems when 9.88 came out. I remember it vividly at the time because it killed my 5Ghz band. Ended up dropping back down to 9.34 for 2 years (until now) and when this firmware did the same thing, I went back down to 9.42.

Ran mine with the following settings and didn't see any 5Ghz issues with v.134 FW loaded.
