Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

No, I haven't done a factory reset and reconfiguration. Is that the best option when applying these patches?

Only if one runs in to problems that can' be solved by other means. Kind of last resort.
I plan on loading my R8000 up and checking this out.

So far I've been able to change a device name. Router was loaded with v.76 and had been factory reset prior so when I connected it, I had to complete the setup wizard. I only had one device connected, a ethernet connected PC. Set a IP address reservation and then changed the name. MS Edge in Windows 11 Pro x64.
I applied the v.88 FW and allowed it to be processed. After it was completed, I change the PC name again and applied the change successfully. No special characters or spaces used in the device name. Only a one dash (-).
Hoping yours will work after the reset.
