New Netgear Nighthawk WiFi Router Won't Connect To Internet.

My very old Linksys router still works when plugged back in but for some reason new Nighthawk AC1600 WiFi router, it won't connect. Running Windows 10. Things I've tried:

  1. Multiple Power Cycles including hitting reset button.

  2. Resetting Network

  3. Troubleshooting through windows.

  4. Resetting IP through CMD Prompt

Tried connecting through Nighthawk Ap. No go. Plugged old router in an went to Netgear's website to try and see if they had drivers but couldn't find anything...I have no clue what to do next other than return this router. Any help appreciated!

what actual router do you have? AC1600 is a speed.

What modem/gateway are you connecting it to?

Start everything in the right order?

    • Turn off and unplug modem.
    • Turn off router and computers.
    • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
