In my understanding the D7000v2 does require a wired connection - being either an xDSL link to the ISP or an Ethernet connection to whatever device is providing the uplink, e.g. the Internet access.
In the second case, with an Ethernet link to an upstream router, you can configure the D7000v2, you can Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi VDSL/ADSL Modem Router Model D7000v2 - Use the Modem Router as a WiFi Access Point (p.91 ff.).
If your only connection towards that other router is wireless, there is nothing you can do with the very sophisticated D7000v2 (a modem-router device). For this use case, a WiFi Range Extenders are the way to go.

Not sure what you are trying to do. The "bridge" word means different things, depending on the context. The D7000v2 is a modem/router. If the idea is to put it into modem-only (bridge) mode, then yes.
Probably not without Ethernet, although you could try with an app over wifi.

You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
Again, it isn't easy to understand what you are trying to do. You have bought a modem/router. Adding that to a network without playing around with the existing network won't be easy. The D7000V2 is , after all, a modem/router. Putting it into bridge mode will disable the wifi. You cannot use it as a wifi repeater. (That's a different sort of bridge.) You can use it as a wireless access point, but only if you can plug it into the Ethernet port on a router.
