does it happen on your other devices?
I know there was some issues with firesticks when they first come out downloading to much screensavers/wallpaper and burning through data.
Try your other devices to see if its just an issue on that firestick.

Sorry...it was "off" (not streaming but on the home screen) for the night, but still plugged in and on network. There are no recordings scheduled on the device.

Thanks planning to do that. One thing to remember is none of this was a problem on the old router. I need to go grab that from the other house and see what through put was permitted on each network. I have also throttled throughput on my 2 nets (5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz to < 300Mbs).
A REALLY helpful thing would be if Netgear would figure out how to show device bw consumption. This is a guessing game otherwise, but I digress.

It would be awesome to have per device tracking on consumer devices.

thanks for the help. I appear to be back to normal on data usage. I wound up factory resetting all 3 firesticks, upgrading firmware in my ring doorbell, and leaving my Roku devices unplugged. I went from 100GB/day to 5GB/day.
