Night Hawk access point wifi router
I did some work on my laptop with windows 10 and lost the shortcut to access the nighthawk access point. I have tried all of my browsers and even clear all the cache but the ip address 192.168.1.1 an...
I got into the modem and see Many attached devices and the R6900P is 10.0.0.252 but set using DHCP. Below it I can select Reserved IP. If I choose that then I and just set that IP address as fixed?

This method worked like a champ! Got into the Xfinity modem and changed the NightHawk R6900P to a fixed IP address using the reserved option and then was able to use that to get into the NightHawk.
I now understand why I was not able to reach it. Never knew the AP option removed the default IP address to not work. That should be one of the first suggestions when support lists things to check.
I am not feeling much better about my ability to control things.
