Nighthawk 7000R still secure?
I found a Nighthawk on used market.
It was only 25$.
Is this more secure than ASUS‘s new low price routers?

The R7000 is getting up in gate. Circa 2013 so over 10 year old. NG updated FW for it and I have mine online currently to test something. Works good. I like the additional wireless bridge mode it offers. No WPA3 though since WPA3 wasn't out back then.
For that cost and if that's all you need then maybe worth it.

I'd save your $ for something newer. The R7000 was released in 2013. Its over a decade old and now 2 (or 2.5 if you consider wifi 6E) generations behind on technology and security. You can pickup a off brand wifi 7 router with a 2.5gig port for around that $40 if you spend a little time looking
