Nighthawk 7800 and 1 gig internet
Have this router. All cat 6 cables. Just got 1 gig fiber. Speedtest in router service software shows 900+ down and 700+ upload. Actually going to a speedtest and lucky to see 500 down and up never get's past 10.
Latest firmware installed. Did a factory reset to the router. No settings changed except renaming the wirless... but this issue is on wired connections.
Ok, guess Netgear folks are not monitoring, or have no solution.
Will sell off their stuff and find one that actually works.

I have a R7800 with the latest firmware (ver 1.0.2.40) and 1 Gbps down and 50 Mbps up cable service. I regularly see 920 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up when running Speedtest.net to my local ISP from a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection at 6:00 am local time.
