Nighthawk AC1900 and Suddenlink Cable
I recently purchased this Modem/Router and now realize it has no HDMI output. I currently have Suddenlink and their supplied router/modem has an HDMI output to connect to the main TV. Did I purchase ...

Thanks for getting back. The Modem/Router they supply is a Sagemcom DGC1384 it is less than disireable. Signal is not constant and range is terrible. From what I have read in order to keep their Cable TV I need to keep their unit in place and use the nighthawk for WIFI, So coax comes into their Sagemcom and I run ethernet from it to the new Nighthawk. At this point I call Suddenlink and give them the new router MAC Address so they can provision it.

That's not how it works.
The sagemcom has its own modem capabilities. (plus router and dvr/pvr)
You'd need just a standard router and connect it in access point. You'd be able to disable the wifi on the sagemcom to reduce interference.
So it'd go:
sagemcom----->router (access point mode)
Your C7000 is a modem/router combo device.
If you're upset because you're paying rental fees for the sagemcom but need to have it, I've seen them on ebay new and used. Maybe that'd be an option to avoid the fees. No clue though. You'd need to check with your isp.

But, on the bright side, if you're stuck with it, and its
wireless-network capabilities beat those of your Sagemcom DGC1384, it
could be pressed into service as a wireless access point. See, for

That's written for a Netgear C6300-as-WAP, but the steps are about the
same for any other router (any make/model) which lacks a one-step WAP
option. (Especially similar for another Netgear Cxxxx.)- avaughnerDec 17, 2020Aspirant
Thanks I have it all set up now, returning their Sagemcom Router/Modem. Everything seems to be working fine even the cable internet, well except on the main TV near the router/modem. Their box had a HDMI out and that is how I got cable on that TV. I see the Nighthawk has a USB port on the back would a USB to HDMI adaptor work to send cable signal to TV the Nighthawk is sending signal to all of their remote boxes.
Thanks for your help

Now I see the USB is only for storage devices, maybe have to exchange the modem/router for a remote unit.
