Nighthawk AC1900 R7000 2.4Ghz not connecting

Thank you for this suggestion, you led me on the right path. One remark, though: I was a bit stubborn, and first 'updated' to 1.0.4.28. My problems were immediately solved. I could manually connect my phone to the 2.4Ghz network, and the Raspberry PI2 immediatly connected after booting. I have not factory reset my router (yet). And I think I won't, at least not while the PI2 keeps connecting, which was the whole point
