Nighthawk MR60 setup & administration
I have an MR60 router + 2x MS60 satellites. The automatic installation ended with my gear operating on the same channels as my neighbors in both 2.4GH & 5GH bands. In order to get into administratio...

Can it see them through the GUI interface (browser)?
I'm not very trusting of the app.
What firmware is on the router?
What firmware is on the satellites?
what modem/gateway are they connected to?

Good questions.
The Firefox browser on my Android phone opens up the admin site just like my ancient MacBook Pro does. Nice to find that out.
The MR60 has had the latest firmware update applied. I don't know anything about the the firmware in the MS60's. The update process seemed not to included them, although they were connected at the start of it.
I've had these for a few months, and they were more or less OK, and improved over the wifi in the IP's gateway. It's an ARRIS gateway provided by ATT. The suggestion to give up on it's wifi was made by an ATT tech. In his opinion all the IP gateways are crap. He switched to Netgear Obi's. Seemed like overkill for my small place, so I got the Nighthawks.
Except for being unreliable in reaching my wireless printer. I had hoped that the update would fix that. Instead all this crap, that I went through once before, needed another run, with the app coming out worse. I'll just forget the app.
Thanks for the hints,

most of the att devices are modem router combo devices. It causes a double nat.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.
