What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.

....is there a reason why a 3rd party port forwarder partially worked but not the normal method?
Have you asked the people behind this 3rd party port forwarder? What happens if you don't use it?

V1.0.4.120_10.0.91

And lastly, I made a discovery when I checked my internet port on control panel, it seems that my IPv6 connectivity says 'No internet access' which I assume heavily prevents me from forwarding successfuly even though they are on in both my router settings and on the properties section of the internet port, Do I manually need to set up to work correctly and if so, how would I go about doing it if its necessary?
