Nighthawk R6700v2 Router connection via mobile hotspot
My question is: Can I connect my Nighthawk R6700v2 Router to the internet by way of a mobile hotspot? Thanks!

It depends on the mobile hotspot.
Some have an ethernet connection that you can connect them with.
If you have this, then you can connect them.
You'd need to put either the hotspot in passthrough mode, the R6700's ip address into the hotspots dmz, or the r6700 into access point mode.

My mobile hotspot is my iPhone 11. I don't currently have an ethernet connecting cable to the iPhone 11, that I'm aware of. Do you know if such is available to buy? Am I understanding correctly that a physical ethernet connecting cable - from the mobile hotspot to the Nighthawk router - is the only way to connect the two?

the R6700 doesn't have a repeater/extender mode that I'm aware of.
So you'd need to hardwire into it

The R6700V2 listed in the subject does have a "WiFi bridge" mode. (Page 185 in the manual.) Whether or not it will work with a mobile hotspot is another matter.
