Nighthawk R6700v2 slow 5ghz speed
I recently upgraded to gigabit internet and was excited as anyone is. Bought a new modem and plugged it all in, not getting the speeds through my 5ghz wifi channel. I had Xfinity come out and fix some lines, then run tests and after a few call backs got 989mbs through the ethernet from the router, YAY! However, everything I have, minus my PS4 is connected through wifi. I have 12 devices connected of various things including light bulbs, Google home, Nest thermostat, PC, 2 robovacs, and 2 cell phones. I have a Galaxy S10, which can accept over a gig of wifi but I can only ever get MAX of 489mbs no matter what I have done. Reboot, factory reset, update, everything still only gives me half that speed on my 5ghz band. What is going on here? Everything I have read states it can go above and beyond 1gb over wifi but I cannot get it to happen. I disconnected everything from it and used only my phone and PC to check, still nothing. 12 devices should be fine as I believe it is rated for up to 32, and we are not even at half.
Is there any fix for this? If not, what are good replacement options to get the 900mb-1gb wifi speeds I am paying for and want to see! Bought it 2 years ago and will replace if necessary. I have not tried to contact Netgear yet have not had the time during the day.

That speed is pretty good for wifi which can never match wired.
Does your Galaxy S10 get better speeds with our wifi sources?
It might be worth a bit of background reading.
