Nighthawk R6900 low speed at 2.4Ghz

I've had this router for a few years. I noticed slower speeds during the past few days. All my devices use the 2.4Ghz connection. The speed test at the Nighthawk app reads around 190Mbps. Standing right by the router, my phone reads 45-80Mbps when connected to 2.4 and 171Mbps when connected to 5Ghz. 

 

I upgraded the firmware and tried changing wifi channels with no results. Could this be related to router malfunction?

    45-80mbps over 2.4ghz is actually pretty impressive. with both my CAX80 and RAX200, I was struggling to get 70mbps. it usually was around 30-40mbps. Reason why is 2.4ghz is more sensitive to interference. And its inherently much slower in speeds than 5ghz.
