Yes, That was the issue. I figured it out. When it asks if I want the Genie to set it up I was saying yes, but this time I chose "No" to set it up myself and it let me into the admin section. I was able to download the latest firmware and install it and it just restarted and it looks good.

10 second press of the reset button and release for NG routers is good enough.
So is the wizard not getting past the checking internet connection?

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
