FURRYe38,
I was at v….136 before I downgraded & was still having the dropped connection issue. The main problem now is that I cannot log in to load another version of the firmware, or do anything else.

What does it mean "was still having the dropped connection issue"? Is this the router loosing connection with the modem or or is this a wired or wireless problem your seeing? More details are needed.
Factory reset the router and setup from scratch...
I ran my R7000 with v.134 and ran great when i had it online back then:

As I said, the router was dropping the connection to the modem. Since I downgraded to v1.0.9.42, I have not had a single dropped connection.
My only issue at this point is not being able to log into the router administration page.

Would need to investigate more on why router drops connection to CM700 with recent FW version. May not be a FW issue.
So a factory reset, you can't access the routers web page at 192.168.1.1 with a wired PC?
