Nighthawk R7000 Firmware V1.0.9.12_1.2.23 Wifi Problems
Okay, here it is: I was getting 5g wifi at 240M with Comcast UNTIL the last firmware update. Now it's like capped around 43M. In fact, my 2.4g and 5g are both capped at that speed. My wired R7000...

I also updated the performance optimization database and chose to keep it automatically updated. It restored mine to ISP speeds. Good luck!!!

I had previously done most of what you said but I didn't go further because the "Performance Optimization" update looked like a lower version. I went ahead and updated it and 5g is flying again. I guess I learned to beware of firmware updates. ;-)
