Nighthawk R7000 not upgrading to the latest version?

Ditch the application. It is of dubious value if any.
Go to the top of the page here and under downloads you can download the most recent kit for manually updating the firmware on your R7000.
Read and follow the instructions from a real computer connected directly to the router via an ethernet cable.
Any other approach is risky at best and catastrophic otherwise.
