Nighthawk R7000 not upgrading to the latest version?
I have been having dropping issues so I was trying to upgrade the firmware via the mobile phone app following the instructions here: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r7000.aspx#docs I cli...
the latest for that device is 1.0.11.123
I'd recommend manually updating and doing it over a hardwired connection.
Many times a factory reset can help as well.

Thanks for the help. Although why they would have an app that doesn't actually update is a little baffling to me!
I did see a post about beta versions of the software. Anyone know how those are listed/described?
So we know it's a beta and not the most current active version?
You can update via the app.
The reason we recommend hardwired is that when we see corrupt firmware issues, it tends to be when people updated via the app or over wireless.
Which is why we recommend updating hardwired.
