Nighthawk r7000 readyCLOUD registration failing

I unregistered readyCLOUD, and when went to re-register I am getting the error "Registration failed. Please check your user name and password and try again."

 

I read on the forums to reset password to something simple like "Password123". Did that, but am still unsuccessful re-registering readyCLOUD. (I am able to login successfully at readycloud.netgear.com)

 

I'd rather not have to reset my router to factory settings, which seemed to work for some others.

 

Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • After further troubleshooting, the reason registration was failing is due to changing the Device Name. I reverted back to the original name and registration was successful.
