Nighthawk R7000 slow download speeds
I'm getting slow speed through a wired connection. It's slow on a Xbox one. As well as a lap top. I've tried different cables as well. Wi-Fi is pretty fast. Tried resetting the router butg nothing see...
- Looks like disabling QOS worked. Don't understand that a feature that's supposed to help does the complete opposite. Thanks for the help.
Would like more information please:
- What is the ISP speed you should be getting?
- What is the wired speed you are getting?
- What is the band that the wireless speed it on?
- Are you getting the wireless from the R7000 or your ISP's modem (which might provide wireless)?
- Can you open the router's web page in a browser and select the ADVANCED tab on the top. Then on the INTERNET PORT box select SHOW STATISTICS. What do you see for PORTS STATUS for WAN and LAN 1 - 4? Is it 1000M/Full? Yes, some will show LINK DOWN if there is NOT a cable in the socket for that LAN port.
