Nighthawk r7000 slow wifi
I am at a loss here.
I am paying for 500mbps downloads and have tested the ethernet and get about 550mbps.
When on the wifi its about 40-70 on my phone, or about 110mbps on my desktop over wifi.
I have tried 5 different firmwares, and am now on the most current. Tried downgrading to different versions I have seen be the "solution" for others, no luck. I have tested both the 5g and the 2.4 and they are about the same. Upload is great, at about 100mbps.
Im getting very frustrated and I don't understand what the issue is.

What wifi devices are you speed testing with.
Some devices and routers will not see same speeds as ethernet. Depeneding upon device design, support and environment, most devices will max out at 300-400 on 5Ghz AC. To get highers speeds 4x4 MIMO is needed. Most devices are 1x1 and 2x2. 2.4Ghz is even slower.
