Nighthawk R7000 wifi dropping when wife leaves range with andriod phone

Every time my wife walks across the street with her Samsung Galaxy 10, the wifi goes out in the house. She can get in the car and drive to work, no issue. It is only when she walks out of range. I am assuming the router is attempting to make a connection with her phone and creating this issue. I can't find any info on how to fix this nor has anyone heard of this happening.
